Your Experience
Discover the Sport of Kings with a visit to the gallops, a tour of a trainer's stables and entrance to the Members' enclosure for an afternoon at the races. You will be accompanied by a racing professional throughout, who will explain all aspects of racing, including following form and placing your bets.
This full day programme includes a morning visit to a trainer's stable, a trip to the gallops to see the horses at exercise and, of course, entrance to the Members' Enclosure for an afternoon at the races. You will be accompanied by a racing professional throughout, who will explain all aspects of racing, including - most importantly! - how to place bets. It could turn out to be a profitable day! If you prefer, an alternative tour is available at Newmarket, which involves an afternoon tour of the National Stud followed by an evening at the races, with live music to follow. Please note that at Newbury, Perth, York and Wetherby transfers from the trainer's stable to the racecourse are not included. This will involve a drive of around 30 minutes (Newbury), 30 minutes (Perth), 45 minutes (York) or 60 minutes (Wetherby).
When Can You Go?
Selected race days (excluding the big race meetings), varies according to location but generally April to October.
How Long Does This Activity Last?
Your horse racing day will typically last for a full day.
You Need To Know
To do this activity you must be at least 17 years old.You will need to be reasonably fit as some walking is involved. No qualifications or experience are necessary to take part in this activity. You will be asked to sign a risk awareness form on arrival.
